Identifying the Beast and the Little Horn

Review of Loren Seibold’s Letting RCC off the Hook, and more

Introduction
At the beginning of 2010, I accidentally came across an article posted by a well-known theologian, on the forum website Adventist Today. The article was titled “Letting Roman Catholics Off The Hook – Seven reasons for rethinking our enemies list” by Loren Seibold. In the article, the author advocated that the Roman Catholic Church is not what it used to be. He presented 7 arguments why Seventh-Day Adventists should change their attitudes towards the RCC. Now, these statements are not new. More and more these days we hear them in our own ranks. When I read his explanations, I couldn’t help but wonder, Were we, are we confused over the real identity of the RCC?

The fact is that time and time again secular history proves these advocators of new theology wrong. That alone should have us thinking. …..

….. Now, today, I hope the author will change his stance soon. The article is still prominent on the AToday website, while he is the chief editor.

For we cannot deny prophesy fulfilling right before our very eyes any longer.
Jesus said: “Blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear, for verily I say unto you, that many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them” (Mark 4:16). In our days, this is being fulfilled unto us, Seventh-day Adventists. How blessed are we, indeed!

But always remember, The battle you fight when choosing for Christ and the battle you fight when staying in Christ, is a battle you fight … with Christ alone!

Hereafter, first I comment on Loren Seibold’s seven arguments, in his article ‘Letting Roman Catholics off the Hook’.

Then, I give you 22 marks – more than thrice as many as Loren’s! – to identify the Beast–Little Horn power and his aims, on basis of text proofs from the Bible and testimonies from the SOP, and from information that can be retrieved from the public domain.
And  then, I review 13 characteristics of the aims of Rome that plainly contradicts the Bible, and in the final chapter I give proof of possible contra-espionage by the RCC in the SDA Church.
